Our Principal - Mr. J. K. Walls

Mr. Walls was born in England, but went with his family to New Zealand when he was still baby.

Following his secondary school years at a well-known boys’ school in Auckland, he went on to University where he took an M. A. degree in History. After a year at post-graduate Teachers’ Training College, he took a teaching job in a small town in the very north of New Zealand, were he stayed for 3 years. He then transferred back to his old school in Auckland – this time as a teacher.

After 18 months there, Mr. &Mrs. Walls offered themselves to the Presbyterian Church of N. Z. for a term of overseas work, and they were asked to come to H. K. to work with the Church of Christ in China. Mr. Walls taught for one year in Ming Yin College before becoming principal of Ming Kei.
